I'm beginning to think that this is my favorite time of year. I really do still love Christmas, but I love love love the springtime, when the snow is melting, and when Easter approaches.
In our ward choir last Sunday, we began practicing our Easter hymn, He Is Risen. I can't help but feel touched whenever I hear or sing this hymn.
Another reason I love this time of year is because we look forward to General Conference, the meeting where all over the world, members of our church are tuned in through satellite tv, radio or the internet to hear from our living prophet and other leaders of the church. It really is something I look forward to every six months.
We had two meetings yesterday, and two today. I always feel inspired to be a better person. I think the one thing I want to work on is using a soft and loving voice when I talk to my children--especially when I'm disciplining them. I have a hard time with this one. But I'm hoping to improve on it, even a little bit, in the coming months.
Anyway, just thought I'd share my thoughts.
